Eine der großen Diven der Disco-Ära blieb in meinem Blog bisher unerwähnt. Heute ändert sich das. Hier kommt Gloria Gaynor mit ihrem Song "Most Of All". Erschienen ist die Platte 1978...
One of the leading disco-divas of the discoperiod was not mentioned on my blog since i started in oktober. what a shame! today i change it and post Gloria Gaynor's song "Most Of All", published on her LP "Glorious" in 1978. The record was produced by Gregg Diamond, a busy and succesfull creator who was also responsible for Andrea Ture Connection's "More More More" or his "Bionic Boogie" project...

Gloria killed her career doing horrible covers and taping "I Will Survive" again and again, but she has really good albums. This "Most Of All" is great!
the whole album she made with gregg diamond is not so bad.
by the way, gloria is convinced, that she was had the first (never can say goobye) and the last real disco hit (i will survive). she is very proud of it...
That is very questionable, but even Donna Summer said she was the real Disco Queen in some Disco Forum... I saw her in concert here in Spain last September, her voice is not what it used to be and though she did those ridiculous Police and Roberta Flack covers it was enjoyable!
did you heard Liz Mitchell of Boney M live during the last years? it's a nightmare. she had such a wonderful voice...
i have now tickets for Donna, i am looking forward to it. saw her "live-DVD", she seems to be still in a good condition. but even her voice lost it's old touch...
