DON'T STOP THE MUSIC - STRANGE AFFAIR

Eine ausserordentlich gelungene Discoplatte des 1979 langsam aus der Mode kommenden aufwendig instrumentalisierten Disco-Stils ist die LP "Strange Affair" von "Strange Affair". Produziert wurde die Platte von Giuliano Salerni, der ebenso den Hi-Gloss Hit "You'll never know" auf den Markt brachte. Neben dem hier präsentierten "Don't Stop The Music" gibts noch ne Reihe anderer gelungener Tracks auf der Scheibe, die zu späterem Zeitpunkt gepostet werden...

A magnificent Discorecord of 1979 is the LP "Strange Affair" of "Strange Affair". A costly and ambitous orchestrated latecomer of it's kind, produced by Giuliano Salerni who was also responsible for the Hi-Gloss Hit "You'll never know". Beside the posted Track "Don't Stop The Music" are some other nice tracks for the dancefloor which i post some other day...

GOT TO BE REAL - SELECTION

Vielleicht ist "Got to be real" von "Selection" ein soundmäßiger Nachzügler, denn der Track klingt wohl eher nach 1979 oder 1980 als nach 1982, aber was macht das schon - Hauptsache es klingt gut! Die Produzenten waren übrigens zwei in New York tätige Italiener, die diese Platte dort in den Sigma Studios aufnahmen...

Maybe "Got to be real" of "Selection" is a latecomer in it's music-style, in my opinion it sounds more like 1979 or 1980 as made in 1982. But who cares, the main thing is the quality, and that song is doozy! By the way, the producers were two italiens, who recorded this LP at the Sigma Studios in New York...

Zurück aus Berlin, wieder in Moskau, geht es nach einer kurzen Pause wieder weiter im Discoprogramm. Und mit Bionic Boogie und "Dance little Dreamer" will ich euch nicht meinen persönlichen Tageshit vor enthalten...

Aufgenommen 1977, produziert von Gregg Diamond und veröffentlicht auf der LP Bionic Boogie. Von der überaus gelungenen Platte finden sich in meinem Archiv noch die Titel "Risky Changes" und "Big West"...

Back from Berlin, again in Moscow, i go after a short break on in my disco-programm. And with Bionic Boogie and "Dance little Dreamer" i present my todays favourite...

Recorded in 1977, produced by Gregg Diamond and published on the LP Bionic Boogie. Also taken from this magnificent albumand available on my blog are the tracks "Risky Changes" and "Big West" ...

Ein wunderbarer Titel von Ennio Morricone, den mir ein Besucher meines Blogs geschickt hat, ist "Good News" von 1979. Der Song war Teil des Soundtracks zu dem Film "Viaggio Con Anita", eine italienisch-französische Produktion mit Goldie Hawn in der Hauptrolle, die in Deutschland als "Reise mit Anita" in die Kinos kam...

A wonderful Track of Ennio Morricone, which was sended to me by a visitor of my blog, is "Good News". Made in 1979, the song was a part of the soundtrack of "Viaggio Con Anita", an italien-french movie with Goldie Hawn in the main role. The english name was "Lovers and Liars"...

SPRING AFFAIR (LONG VERSION) - DONNA SUMMER

Heute geht es für mich ne Woche nach Berlin! Und ich kehre Moskau ein Weilchen den Rücken. Musikalische Untermalung findet meine Frühlingsreise durch die zauberhafte Donna Summer, die mit "Spring Affair" den richtigen Ton für mich anschlägt. Der Song war der große Hit ihrer LP "Four Seasons of Love" aus dem Jahr 1976, in dem sie so hübsch die 4 Jahreszeiten besingt. Die Platte hatte als Beigabe übrigens einen hübschen Kalender für 1977, der Donna stilisiert in den vier Jahreszeiten in harmlosen erotischen Zitaten zeigt.

Today i'm leaving for a week Moscow, visiting my friends in Berlin. The perfect sound for this kind of a spring-trip seems to be "Spring Affair" of the lovely Donna Summer, which was the Hit on her LP "Four Seasons of Love" in 1976. Donnas records tried often to follow a special concept, this time she sung about the feelings of being in love during the four seasons of the year. An addition of the record was a calendar of 1977, on which Donna was posing in harmless erotic cliches showing the four seasons of love...
